Atlantic Challenge USA is offering an immersive unpaid summer leadership and seamanship experience for college students and young adults interested in maritime culture, teamwork, leadership, and international exchange. Participants will join an international crew training in traditional rowing, sailing, navigation, knot tying, and expedition seamanship aboard 38-foot Bantry Bay gigs, replicas of 18th-century French naval vessels. Training will take place in Mesquer, France before traveling to Roskilde, Denmark for the 2026 Atlantic Challenge International Contest of Seamanship alongside crews from more than a dozen nations.

This program offers:
- Intensive experiential leadership development

- Hands-on maritime and traditional seamanship skills
- Teamwork, and multi-cultural living experience
- More than 240 hours of structured training and crew participation. This is a 10-hour-per-day immersive training and crew experience for 24 days total.
